REMINDER: How To Watch The Final Debate TONIGHT at 7pm
Tune in either to NBC 4 or C-SPAN at 7pm or watch the proceedings online (helpful links below).
The second and final Virginia gubernatorial debate is set for TONIGHT at 7pm between former Democratic governor Terry McAuliffe and Republican challenger Glenn Youngkin.
For those interested in watching, you can tune in on NBC 4 if you are in the Washington D.C. market, or if you are so inclined you can watch it online by CLICKING HERE and going to the NBC 4 livestream or via C-SPAN by CLICKING HERE.
Key things to look for? Remember that rarely does a candidate win a debate, but you can most certainly lose a debate. McAuliffe will be on the attack as polls show him slumping towards the demographic baseline, whereas Youngkin will be looking to shore up pro-life and Second Amendment concerns without giving the opposition too much of an opening.
Meanwhile, it appears as if early voting is proving to be a bit of a dud so far:
Translation? The race is wide open right now.
With a looming federal government shutdown in play as Washington attempts to sort out a Democratic budget crisis — and oddly enough, just in time to help McAuliffe — there are any number of ways tonight could go.
How hard is McAuliffe going to throw his punches to get Youngkin to clarify on Trump, life and firearms? How hard will Youngkin pressure the Northam/McAuliffe era on the last eight years of failure? Could be red meat for politicos.
STAY TUNED. . .
