For those of you who have been involved with the Republican Party of Virginia over the last three decades, Cathy Bolden has been the lodestar upon which all the rest of us could trust.
Unfortunately, her husband Alonzo is on dialysis and has suffered two mini-strokes. Alonzo cannot walk, his cataracts prevent him from seeing clearly. Disability hasn’t kicked in just yet.
Which means it is down to us. You and me.
You can read about it by clicking on one of the buttons below. Hopefully when you do, you might find it within to help them with a small gift of your own.
As of right now, they have raised $1,780 dollars.
Now times are tight. They are even tighter for Cathy and Alonzo. Others may want to give a little something extra — and that is generous indeed.
I am asking you to match my personal gift of $100.
Cathy and Alonzo are family. Alonzo has painted RPV HQ more times than we can count. Cathy is at every RPV Advance. If you are a Virginia Republican, then you know exactly who Cathy and Alonzo are and have felt their warmth, kindness, and generosity to every person they have ever met.
You couldn’t ask for better friends.
Until now.
Because that friend today is YOU.
Look — I know you’re swamped with these requests. Sometimes you might even wonder whether or not your donations even matter.
This time it really will matter.
So in your kindness and charity, offer a quick prayer at least for Cathy and Alonzo as they are going through the test of their lives. But if you are in a position to make that test a little bit lighter? Thank you.
Warmest personal regards,
Shaun
PS: KEEP THIS IN MIND. Look, we all know Cathy and Alonzo. Heck, every Republican in Virginia worth their salt knows their kindness and generosity for others. They have given a great deal, not always with their name for it, but always with us in mind.
Now is our turn to give back and show how Republicans take care of our own.
Thank you for your warmth and generosity to Cathy and Alonzo.
I know they would thank you personally if they could.
